The troop will be heading back tonight. They will be eating dinner up there and then breaking camp and heading home, aiming to arrive sometime between 7-9 pm tonight at the Church.

Our Full Moon Hike will take place on Monday October 29 in place of the regular troop meeting. We will hike up the Westridge fire road in the Santa Monica Mountains with a beautiful view out over the city. Sunset is at 6:03 and the moon rises at 6:00 pm, so we should have great views of city lights and the moon.

Scouts should meet at the trailhead in uniform at 7:00 with a flashlight. They might consider bringing binoculars too. Scout Handbooks are not necessary.

We will finish around our usual closing time of 8:30 pm. Parents and family dogs are welcome to hike too, but we would like the scouts to hike together.

Directions to Trailhead:

Westbound on Sunset Blvd about 1 mile west of Bundy (about 2.2 miles west of the 405) turn right on Mandeville Canyon Road. There is a light there and Paul Revere School is on the left. At the first stop sign (about 150 yards up mandeville) turn left onto Westridge Road. Follow Westridge Road to the very end (about 2 miles) where there is a parking lot. If the lot is full, there is plenty of street parking. To avoid parking issues, scouts should try to carpool. Please give yourself plenty of driving time to get there on time.

It is mandatory for each scout to sell 24 bars for a total of $48. Please bring your money to the next meeting.
